If we talk about Heroin then it’s a drug that’s causing serious problem to all the people of the world. Heroine is derived from morphine a natural substance and is extracted from the seed of the poppy plant. The color of heroin is usually white, black tar or brownish powder. The heroin is produced from the process of refinement for the black market where heroin addiction is increasing at a vast rate and the persons are demanding more and more of it. They must be send to the heroin rehab centers for a treatment to avoid the use of heroin.

The production of heroin requires expert specialist in chemistry and can easily access the various components the first three levels of refinement of heroin from opium is very simple requires the common chemicals and technical persons. The final level is the most difficult as the chemical procedure to be followed is more dangerous and if not done properly can cause harm to persons those who are working in the lab.

Firstly the morphine is mixed with opium then it is made to react with lime so that the morphine precipitates out, then again it is reacted with ammonia and at last we get a product of morphine whose weight is less than that of the original opium. Then sodium carbonate is added to it and then the heroin is heated with a mixture of alcohol and charcoal till the alcohol evaporates and then heroin is changed into white color. If the extracted morphine is pure than the resulting heroin will also be pure.
